Mastering for streaming services prepares your mix for the variety of streaming services that exist such as Pandora, Spotify, iTunes, Tidal, and more.

With mastering, a mix is made to sound its best across multiple platforms. It usually starts with a high resolution master, perhaps up to 24 bits with a 96k sample rate, in order to achieve best results.

As with other platforms, such as Vinyl or CD, streaming audio files require their own particular changes in a mix for it to sound its best in that medium. For instance, vinyl will require particular changes for a mix to sound its best on a lacquer disc.

With streaming, a mix may need subtle changes that are different for it to sound its best across Pandora, Spotify, and iTunes platforms. In addition, particular attention is paid to the integrated level of a mix, so as it to be around -16dBfs (LUFS) to -14dBfs, of course depending on the target service.
